PS3 Firmware 1.5 JAP out; USA 1.5 tomorrow! - Jan 23, 2007 - 7:00 PM - by PS3News  
As mentioned by seminolecounty in the ongoing New PS3 Update true? Forum thread, it is confirmed that the Japanese 1.5 Firmware Update for PS3 is now available... with the US version expected tomorrow as well.

To quote from the previous PS3 1.5 Hits Japan article on the changes:

While the store has been limited exclusively payment via credit card until now, the PS3 will now be able to accept "Edy" system pre-paid electronic money. Other changes include support for Korean language input via keyboard and updated PlayStation and PlayStation 2 backwards compatibility.  

And now on to the interesting stuff... many of our viewers have been reluctant to update their PS3 Firmware out of fear that an upcoming PS3 iSO Loader will not work on it.Today, we had a chance to speak briefly with the GODs @ Paradox... who have confirmed for us that, referring only to their own of course, the PS3 iSO Loader will work on PS3 Firmware up to v1.32!This means if you have not updated to v1.32 out of fear that a future iSO Loader will not work, you can now do so with peace of mind. However, until they have a chance to examine 1.50 we have been told NOT to update to it yet to be safe. More to come as it's available!

至于烧景象的问题，请看下面红色字体部分(PARADOX每放出一个游戏都在NFO里面提供一些暗示)
内容大概是说PS3目前对蓝光光碟还没有一个安全机制来检测蓝光媒体的存在，换句话说，就是同样一个游戏也能放在普通DVD上读取，所以期待烧PS3游戏的朋友要密切期待 ：-）

不过，据我目前收集的景象来看，大多数PS3游戏由于都是X360的同款游戏的移植，容量都在D9以下，但源氏，Need for speed Carbon, Resistance跟Motorstorm是肯定不能烧的，容量都在11-12GB左右

|      Should Blu-Ray games have a media detection system so i
        can burn smaller images to a regular dvd disc? Dr. Phil told us. You sure can
        burn them on a regular dvd since sofar they are not protected like the old        fasion PS2 disc's ;-) And if they do it in the future, GOD knows how to fix it :-)

昨天刚刚想升级，连升级文件都下载好了，看到这个消息……决定先忍一忍……

=。=为啥他们不放图~~不放图不可信。。。。。。。。。。

等到3月不就知道了？

PS3 ISO这下载一个要多久阿？

ISO压缩才是王道，一个游戏20G的话，哪里嘎多空间放阿

PARADOX是很强的小组，如果消息来源真是他们，那绝对可信

昨天就升了1.5了，iso这么大的容量下载都要好几天.还是不要破解算了，2-3个月买一款游戏也不错。
