It is definitely a game changer. Playing Dishonored now and it's incredibly smooth. Not requiring the dev to step in makes the potential immense, I hope to see the program expand to most if not all popular BC games over time. Maybe even make it a system level feature like Quick Resume that you can toggle on or off if it doesn't work well.

1)Prey on Xbox One suffered from crippling input lag and insanely long load times. Apart from boosting the FPS to 60, Series X also eliminates the input lag and reduces loading times to a fraction of what they were. 1:15 seconds shrunk down to 13 seconds. Framerate is locked at 60 fps, with dips very rarely occurring.
2)Prey runs at 1440p60 on the Series X with additional visual effects, a benefit of running the boosted One X version. 1080p60 on Series S, with lower visual quality.
3)DF conclude that Prey was transformed from an unplayable mess on last-gen to a flawless 60fps next gen port, calling it a 'psuedo remaster/remake'
4)Dishonored ran at 1080p30fps on Xbox One despite being a 360/PS3 game, now boosted to 1080p60 on both consoles.
5)Framerate is not entirely stable on either next gen console(57-60fps), DF say that this is a game-related issue that's probably got something to do with it's age and running a very old version of DirectX. Not hardware related.
6)Load times are dramatically improved, up to 23-38 times faster(crazy!). From 45 seconds on Xbox one to just a little more than a second on Series X. Transformative change that again takes the game from near unplayable to the best console version available now.
7)DF also note that both these games run on very different engines(CryEngine for Prey and UE3 for Dishonored) and the fact that FPS boost works flawlessly on both shows tremendous potential for the future. They cite titles such as Ryse and Arkham Knight which could easily be transformed by FPS boost.
Oh, and also both these games benefit from 16x anisotropic filtering.
