此前有传言Konami限制杂志，在给MGS4打分时不能谈90分钟的过场以及安装硬盘的容量。IGN对此没有意见。但是，EMG杂志因为不满Konami的限制条件，编辑团队拒绝给MGS4打出分数。（Due to "limitations Konami wanted to impose on our comments", the editorial team decided to refrain from giving the game a score）
