Okami秒杀傻而大!

http://bestof.ign.com/2006/overall/2.html

IGN best of 2006

Best Adventure Game
Okami
Publisher:  Capcom
Developer:  Clover Studio

Why It Rocked: Okami is one of those rare games that manages to perfectly blend its gameplay mechanics, art style, story and more into one fantastic package. The celestial brush is something that we haven't really seen in a videogame before. The ability to directly control the world around you by simply laying down a few brush strokes is quite simply amazing, and the fact that the visuals look painted as well ties the two together brilliantly.

One thing that we always look for in an adventure game is scope, and Okami is nothing short of massive. With a lengthy single player game that takes you across what feels like hundreds, if not thousands, of miles and tons upon tons of hidden areas and items to collect, there's no shortage of content to be found in Okami.

It may be hard to believe that a game that's quite obviously inspired by the Zelda series has managed to beat out the latest in the legendary series, but Clover's masterpiece has done it.

Runner-Up:
The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess

Best Story
Okami
Publisher:  Capcom
Developer:  Clover Studio

Why It Rocked: Okami's story is about as classically inspired as they come. Based around a monstrous, eight-headed creature that dwells in a cave and who must be given a sacrifice once a year, the goddess Amaterasu takes the form of a wolf in order to stop its evil reign. Realistic, no, but it's the sort of thing that fairytales and bedtime stories are made of.

The story does act more of as a setup to the game's events than a progressive tale, but that's part of what makes it so good. It's the way that the back story sets up the environment, world and characters that makes this our pick for 2006's best story. Few games are able to weave together a tale this classic, involving and even touching at the same time. Okami's fantastic visuals tie into the setting as well, using a watercolor look that gives it something of an ancient feel, much like the story itself.

There aren't many games around that so naturally blend their setting, visuals, play mechanics and story as well as Okami, so it winds up being our pick for Best Story of 2006.

Bully
The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess

Best Artistic Design
Okami
Publisher:  Capcom
Developer:  Clover Studio

Why It Rocked: Okami steals your attention the moment you lay eyes on it. Simply put, no other title this year shares the degree of creativity on display in Okami. Clover Studio really outdid themselves with this game, both in terms of good old-fashioned gameplay, but also in the design department. Okami looks like a moving water painting. Every scene bursts with color and an array of creatures rooted in eastern mysticism. Everything from ordinary structures to the environments they sit in look wholly unique and unquestionably gorgeous. Boss encounters and enemies look equally impressive, too. Simply running around the gameworld causes a streak of flowers to sprout in your wake - it may sound silly, but watching in motion will simply make your jaw drop. Okami had been in development for years before IGN scored a playable build, and naturally editors had seen in numerous times before then at events such as E3. But that didn't make the game any less impressive (or surprising) from an artistic standpoint once knee-deep in the actual adventure. Truly impressive in every sense of the word.

Runner-Up:
Viva Piñata

Most Innovative Design
Okami
Publisher:  Capcom
Developer:  Clover Studio

Why It Rocked: From the very moment Okami was discussed among folks in the industry, it was met with curiosity and excitement. Not only would the entire experience play as a moving painting, but players would have the opportunity to literally paint things into existence. The paintbrush, the tool that gave Okami its distinct flavor, managed to dodge the trappings of gimmickry, and make the challenges of the game impossibly fun. This earnest approach to art rekindled everyone's sleeping hopes that innovation in videogames was indeed not dead, but alive and well in a little known safe house called Clover Studios. But once we learned who was at the helm of this ambitious project, it was clear what the fuss was about. Okami was the brain child of Hideki Kamiya, the father of the Devil May Cry series. It was his original innovation that brought the gun and sword artistry of Dante to life. Only someone with an imagination like his would dare to think of a game like Okami. Let's just hope Kamiya has the audacity to dare again some day.

Runners-Up:
Brain Age
Elite Beat Agents
Wii Sports
