Square Enix Makes $121 Million Bid for Eidos

Tokyo - Japanese game publisher Square Enix, creator of the "Final Fantasy" franchise, has made a $121.2 million offer to acquire Eidos, the U.K.-based developer of "Tomb Raider."

The boards of Eidos and U.K.-based Square subsidiary SQEX have agreed to the deal, which must still be approved by shareholders.

The offer of $0.46 per share represents a 258% premium on Eidos' share price on Jan. 14.

The deal must be approved by shareholders holding 75% of Eidos' stock.

Two firms holding 13% of Eidos shares have voted in favor of the deal; other major shareholders include Time Warner (20%).

我也是觉得奇怪，SE花这么多钱收购个eidos干什么？
而且Eidos现在已经是日暮途穷的感觉了
