Oddly enough I tried this again right after I posted and it worked fine. I watched the GOW video a few times and messed around with the blades and there was no tearing. I am using a Westinghouse 42" 1080p monitor and I don't expreience any of the distortion you guys are reporting. I don't think the image is cropped either. This unit does 1080p through HDMI, VGA, and DVI without scaling (of course the 360 is scaling to do 1080p). It only accepts up to 1080i through component.

BTW, I highly recommend this unit..I got it for $1700 through Crutchfield (after two discounts) a few months ago. This is by far the most technology for your money and it does 1080p natively, so this will be nice when there is actually content that takes advantage of it.
