Speaking of the PlayStation Store, also announced was SOCOM Confrontation, a multiplayer-only title that will be sold through the online service. It marks the SOCOM series' debut on PlayStation 3. SOCOM Confrontation is developed by Vancouver-based Slant Six Studios, the company responsible for providing technical consultation to Sony Bend's Syphon Filter: Dark Mirror (PSP) and developing the upcoming PSP real-time strategy game SOCOM Tactical Strike. Allowing up to 32 players simultaneously, the game will be supported with regular online content packs, which will add new themes, modes, equipment, and options. SOCOM Confrontation is set to ship this fall, with more of the game to be shown at E3 in July. In addition to the announcement, Sony released a handful of screenshots.

    SCEA在今天召开的游戏开放日上，正式公布了PS3版《海豹突击队》系列新作。据悉，本作被命名为《海豹突击队 对峙》，由SCEA圣莫妮卡工作室负责开发。在此次开放活动上，官方展出了一段《海豹突击队 对峙》的预告片。

    根据来自游戏开发者方面的消息，本作是一款只支持在线联机模式的游戏，将会支持最多32人同时在线对战，并将会通过网络和BD光盘两种形式同时发售。游戏中玩家可以自由组队并且定制自己的作战服，也可以让选择操纵全球各地的特种部队来游戏。

    本作预计将在今年圣诞假期期间推出，届时游戏将会举办大量在线的比赛和常规的联赛。
