The Plug-in is engineered for dedicated electric driving capability that can let you travel up to 62 mph on electric power alone. The Plug-in is rated to drive up to 11 miles [1] while in EV Mode [2] [3]. It also features a quick three-hour charge time from a standard 120-volt AC household outlet [4]. If you run out of electric charge, the vehicle seamlessly shifts into hybrid mode, still giving you great mpg.

Battery Power

Prius Plug-in features a new-type of high capacity Lithium-ion Battery that, when fully charged, provides the capability to travel up to 25 KM in city driving – meaning typical Canadian commuter ranges can be made without using a drop of gas. The Prius Plug-in is also capable of driving on electric power alone (or EV mode) up to 100 kilometres per hour* – and totally emissions-free. Depending on the distance you commute every day, it could be weeks and thousands of kilometres between fill-ups.


Quick Charge**

Three hours. That's all it takes to fully recharge Prius Plug-in's battery from a standard 120 volt outlet; and about half that time on a dedicated 240 volt Charging Station. That's significantly shorter than any other plug-in or EV on the market today. Equally powerful, Prius Plug-in can be charged any time and anywhere with no special equipment required.

貌似已经发售了, 在半年前, 美帝15个州.
The Prius Plug-in will be available at participating dealers starting March 2012 in 15 launch states: Arizona, California, Connecticut, Hawaii, Maine, Maryland, Massachusetts, New Hampshire, New Jersey, New York, Oregon, Rhode Island, Vermont, Virginia and Washington. BD爷也表态要买了. 据说要5万...呵呵.

纯电动车的我个人表示目前仅仅是玩具, 实力男可以买完当二三奶玩具车, 普通人恐怕难.
而且即使油+电混合的....省油的钱都贡献在车价里面了
(普锐斯级别的普通车只要2w, 普锐斯要3万, 所以1万是前期投资).
如果纯粹只是省油不省钱的话...那意义实在不大了.
省油的钱 VS 用电的费 哪个更合算, 合算多少?  多少公里/多少年才能回本还要具体算一下才知道.
