但是美国大众的说法略微不同：
To address the issue, authorized Volkswagen dealers will inspect the rear suspension of vehicles that have been involved in rear or side-rear collisions to determine whether the trailing arms have been damaged. On cars that do not have damaged trailing arms, the authorized Volkswagen dealer will fit a sheetmetal inlay on the rear trailing arms. This will emit a distinctive sound if the car is later involved in a rear-end collision, which will be a signal for the owner to take the car to an authorized Volkswagen dealership for inspection.

实施步骤：
1. 对曾经出过车祸的车辆进行检视，看后悬挂有没有损坏；
2. 对没出过车祸的车辆安装铁片；
3. 铁片的作用是，当车辆出车祸导致后悬挂损坏的时候会发出声响提醒车主尽早前往检查。

只能说扯淡程度略低于一汽大众
