On the heels of announcing two new iPhones and teasing the Apple Watch, Apple has a bit more to say. The company is planning to hold its next event on Oct. 21, where it will unveil two new iPads and announce the release of OS X Yosemite, the next version of its Mac operating system, according to sources familiar with the matter.

Apple plans to unveil the sixth generation of its iPad and the third edition of iPad mini during the event. OS X Yosemite, a complete visual overhaul for the Mac, is slated to be released immediately after the event.

Last year, Apple held an event on Oct. 22, where it announced the iPad Air, second generation iPad mini, and released OS X Mavericks.

Apple will release the iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus on Sept. 19.

今早有外媒报道称，苹果会在 10 月下旬举行发布会，推出新款 iPad 以及 OS X Yosemite 操作系统。随后，The Daily Dot 网站更是进一步确定，苹果会在 10 月 21 日举行新品发布会。但没过多久，The Loop 网站的 Jim Dalrymple 就对这一消息进行了否定。

去年苹果在 10 月的发布会上推出了 iPad Air 和 Retina iPad mini，The Daily Dot 网站认为苹果今年会同样选择在 10 月份召开发布会推出新一代 iPad，并且会遵循去年的规律，10 月发布会结束后推出 OS X Yosemite 正式版。随后，彭博社也发布报告，称苹果会在 10 月中旬举行发布会，展示下一代 iPad，并且在报告中提到，新一代 iPad Air 和新款 iPad mini 已经开始量产，而 12.9 英寸 iPad 也会在明年初开始量产。

虽然多家外媒都报道了这一消息，但 The Loop 网站的 Jim Dalrymple 对于 10 月 21 日发布会的消息给出了 Nope 的评论，这意味着苹果不可能在 10 月 21 日举行发布会。而之所以外界认为 Dalrymple 比较权威可信，主要是因为对于苹果发布会日期的判断，Dalrymple 一直保持着全中的成绩。

把mini的低色域屏换掉，加个touch ID，内存换2G，那就买买买，不过应该不太可能，尤其是内存。

mini的生存空间已经被5.5寸iphone和9.7寸ipad极大挤压了。
另外，12.9寸ipad出来，挂个蓝牙键盘就可以当笔记本用了，mba还卖得动吗？

ipad再大也是个ios的娱乐平板，除非可以装系统，不然取代不了电脑
