The numbers are most striking when comparing US sales figures. In December, analysis firm Cowen & Co estimates that GT6 sold 300,000 units stateside. Over the same period, GT5 sold 1,169,074 copies to American owners.
Last month, PS Vita is estimated to have sold under 95,000 units. Tearaway, one of the more prominent titles recently released for the handheld, has sold roughly 50,000 copies in the US thus far.
Gran Turismo 6 made its debut in December. While not dreadful by any means, it seems to be off to a slow start with under 180,000 copies sold in the states.
Lastly, lifetime sales rankings of the new consoles are as follows: Wii U > PS4 > Xbox One.
