按理来说，索尼旗下的PlayStation主机在美国应该是拼不过微软的Xbox系列，但是美国总统奥巴马日前在公开的演说中竟然将PS4和他一直积极推动的健康保险来作比较，美国总统奥巴马在21日白宫例行会议演讲中推行其新医保法案时表示：“PlayStation（PS4）会在感恩节后卖到脱销，而健康保险则没有这么好的待遇。我们的保险一直可以买到，价格也不会变。只要你想买就有。” (“unlike the day after Thanksgiving sales for the latest PlayStation, the (healthcare) insurance plans don’t run out”)
