Nintendo: Wii U Sales Increase 685% in th UK due to Wind Waker HD
Nintendo has told MCVUK that sales for the Wii U in the UK has increased 685 percent for the week ending October 5. The increase in sales is due to the release of The Legend of Zelda: Wind Waker HD, as well as a price cut.
This is a good sign for the console which has struggled all year. The Wii U sold just 1,268 units the week before Wind Waker HD, according to VGChartz. That would put last weeks sale at 8,685 units.
