some basic info first

好吧，那么大概就是台体积大些，价钱低些，不带屏幕的vaio而已。。
Sony, Since 2009
-Supercell
-Knight Corner
-then 2011 they decided to choose AMD (remember only with AMD)

MS, since 2008-2009
-Working with AMD-IBM, at least 2 separate team basically 2-3 year ahead of SOny
in working with AMD-IBM,
-1st team concentrate on PowerPC based
-2nd team on Buldozer based
-booth team using same GPU building block
-arm based cpu considered too, direct to bus
-supercomputer architecture considered (ex Sun CTO, ex Cray, etc joined MS)

Analyze:
from MS-AMD-IBM starting point , MS invest more and RD more with them (big partner IBM-AMD)
from SOny-AMD starting point, Sony dont have enough time, they choose simple route, to minor modification the basic AMD building block (only AMD)

Software Side:
MS:
MS also heavy research on multi GPU-CPU software stack/custom OS
Basically they readying the software side for multi GPU/CPU scenario
then we see patented Multimedia Computer with QOS
Sony:
Confusing, as IGN developer survey, and Aegis said, i think it is logical, because sony just choosing AMD at 2011, and just like PS3 they lagged behind on Software side

其实只要有4K就能卖，游戏倒还是其次的

Raptr上面有个统计，XO用户平均拥有41个游戏，PS3用户平均只有21个（含下载版个小游戏）

骚泥下一代的路线估计也不是以卖游戏为主

再说有GT就可以买一台做专用机

这是Raptr的用户统计，通过系统自动追踪的结果

这个数据肯定有偏差，因为会用Raptr的肯定是活跃游戏玩家，但该站的统计结果就是这样

当然不管是PS4还是720，都是被WiiU血洗的下场！

采用amd的方案意味着兼容ps3成本大幅提升，如果不兼容ps3，可以想象ps4初期的艰难程度，如果兼容ps3那么在成本，功耗方面又会对ps4产生大量的扼制。

2015年还是得看MS的了，这个行业玩不起创意又没钱砸，老老实实的退出算了。

EDIT 2: Rumour Round Up:

PS4 "Orbis"
- AMD x86 3.2GHz APU Solution (Jaguar/Steamroller), 4 cores (2 core pairs), [Higher Clock than X720/Durango]
- Maybe AMD 8000 series GPU solution [Customised Solution Possibly utilising GPU + APU combo]
- 2-4GB GDDR5
- Launch Fall 2013/Early 2014

Explanation: PS4 has a higher clock, but less cores and is using an APU solution (CPU & GPU elements combined onto a single chip). The PS4 has less RAM but is using faster GDDR ram, so the overall performance should be a wash.

Xbox 720 "Durango"
- AMD x86 Jaguar 1.6GHZ 8-Core [Targeting one core being dedicated for OS tasks]
- AMD 8000 series GPU
- ESRAM on the GPU (unknown amount)
- 8GB Ram DDR3, [1.5GB of RAM likely reserved for the operating system]
- Launch 2013

Explanation: 720 has a lower clock, but more cores. 720 has more but SLOWER RAM. DDR3 RAM is usually good for things like multitasking etc....It is expected to be based on Windows 8 as well.

Note: GDDR ram is more suitable for Graphics Processing (In PS4), and DDR3 is more suitable for OS Tasks (720). It is expected that the 720 may need some sort of ES/ED Ram to compensate. Basically, don't get caught up in the RAM size but the RAM type.

Note 2: Until OS features etc... are revealed. Nothing concrete can be determined BUT at this point, we can assume both systems would have similar performance.

Update: Added some more info regarding PS4, because apparently my OP makes the PS4 look like shit and has caused confusion hahaha

我推荐ms在手柄上内置个彩色触摸eink，并且和主机集成一套类似exchange那种推送系统，和wiiu区别开又大有可为。而且eink作为信息通知作用非常省电很适合手柄。
