Apple iOS 6 的自家 Maps 程式的确让到很多用户感到不满，而我们也对这个 Maps 作过实测，发现目前它的确有不足之处。就此，Apple 的执行长 Tim Cook 向消费者发出了道歉声明，指出他们为新地图对用户产生不便感到「非常抱歉」，并会「尽全力去使到地图程式变得更好」。他指出为了加入 turn-by-turn 和 flyover 观看角度等特色，公司需要由零开始建立一个新版的地图程式。更惊讶地，他建议消费者在他们改善地图期间，可以先到 App Store 下载 Bing、MapQuest 和 Waze 等第三方地图，也可以使用 web 版的 Google Maps 或 Nokia Maps。有兴趣看英文版的全文的话，可以到引用来源看看。

苹果官网首页下方刚刚出现了一个小“广告”，上面写着“A Letter to our customers regarding our Maps”（就新地图问题致用户的公开信）
苹果CEO - Tim Cook在信中向广大的新地图用户致歉，并称我们这次做的不够好，没能让很多用户满意。详细全文见正文：

亲爱的用户，

苹果公司自始至终都在努力为用户打造品质高，体验优秀的好产品。但伴随上周iOS 6中一起发布的新版地图服务，却没能实现这一承诺。为此，我们谨向用户致以诚挚的歉意，我们目前正在努力让新版地图变得更加完善。

自iOS推出以来，我们就在其中内置了地图应用。随着时间的推移，我们一直想要为地图添加更多的功能，比如弯到弯导航，语音导航，3D模式，矢量地图等等。为此，我们不得不从新打造一个全新的地图应用。

目前，运行新版地图的iOS设备已达1亿台，而且这一数字每天都在增长。仅仅一周的时间里，新版地图的搜索请求就已经超过5亿次。使用地图的用户越多，地图信息就会越完善，在此我们也想向为我们积极提供意见反馈的用户们表示感谢。

尽管我们目前在积极改善地图的质量，您依然可以尝试从App Store里下载第三方的地图应用，比如Bing，MapQuest或Waze，或者通过访问Google和诺基亚地图的网站，添加桌面图标来使用他们的地图Web App。

At Apple, we strive to make world-class products that deliver the best experience possible to our customers. With the launch of our new Maps last week, we fell short on this commitment. We are extremely sorry for the frustration this has caused our customers and we are doing everything we can to make Maps better.

We launched Maps initially with the first version of iOS. As time progressed, we wanted to provide our customers with even better Maps including features such as turn-by-turn directions, voice integration, Flyover and vector-based maps. In order to do this, we had to create a new version of Maps from the ground up.

There are already more than 100 million iOS devices using the new Apple Maps, with more and more joining us every day. In just over a week, iOS users with the new Maps have already searched for nearly half a billion locations. The more our customers use our Maps the better it will get and we greatly appreciate all of the feedback we have received from you.

While we’re improving Maps, you can try alternatives by downloading map apps from the App Store like Bing, MapQuest and Waze, or use Google or Nokia maps by going to their websites and creating an icon on your home screen to their web app.

Everything we do at Apple is aimed at making our products the best in the world. We know that you expect that from us, and we will keep working non-stop until Maps lives up to the same incredibly high standard.

傻逼苹果IOS 6.0自带地图在我这个城市完全就是瞎，各种定位标注错误，今天下午害得我多走了很多冤枉路，早知道带猴机了

浓厚的水果style，数字列举加划胖

100m也没法掩盖ios6 map是个垃圾，世界上还几亿人吃不上饭呢是不是他们也挺幸福的

@雪猹: 虽然iOS 6新地图在国内就是一坨屎，但在美国是真心好用。今天车载的GPS在市区内因为信号不好而各种错乱，关键时候还是新地图帮了大忙，全面的导航功能外加全3D的引路方式，这几乎就是手机地图的一次革命。虽然之前Android谷歌地图已经有了类似的功能，但体验上不如普通车载GPS，而这次苹果又做到了。

这其实是APPLE运用声东击西、转移视线的战术，大家把注意力放在地图服务上了，没人注意更严重的掉漆问题。
