I purchased this bundle for my son, i have an older xbox in the living room and this was for his room. I wanted to use the kinect in both places. I CANT! Microsoft is ripping us off again. I thought buying the 400 dollar kit and is the reason they cut the 50 bucks off. NOPE, just money hungry Microsoft.
My problem with it was that the kinect required me to be too far away, my entire living room distance is 8' (long story). I could play if I moved my couch and stood where it used to be, but who wants to move their furniture all the time to play a bunch of crappy wii like games? It really takes the fun out of playing when you have to push furniture, clean your floor, speak very clearly and slowly, etc. I wanted a seamless playing experience, which didn't require a controller. Instead, this thing made me miss my controller.
I did get it to work a little bit by standing on my couch, but as the couch costs more than a grand, it really isn't worth it. I have a ps3 and a wii, and I thought this would round it out but it's kind of the worst of both worlds. Anyways, I get halo on the mail in a couple of days, so without the kinect part, I expect to start having fun.
My main interest in the kinect was to see how well its computer vision worked (I work in a similar field). I would think it would do better, but it doesn't. I feel like with minimal programming and a web cam, I could do a better job. 作者: shiningfire 时间: 2010-11-6 23:57
