Biography
Anna Torv was born in Melbourne[2] to Susan and Hans Torv[3] and grew up on the Gold Coast, Queensland, Australia.[4] She has one brother named Dylan. She has been estranged from her father Hans Torv since she was 8 years old.[2] Her paternal aunt is the writer, Anna Maria Torv Murdoch Mann, who was married for 31 years to billionaire media mogul Rupert Murdoch.[5] Anna's father is of Estonian descent.[6]
She attended Benowa State High School in the Gold Coast, Queensland.[7] She graduated from Australia's National Institute of Dramatic Art (NIDA) with a degree in Performing Arts in 2001.[5]
Torv was perhaps best known for her role in the BBC series Mistresses. She also played the voice of Nariko in the video game Heavenly Sword where her face was also used for the character model.[8]
Torv was married in December 2008 to her Fringe costar Mark Valley.[9]
