索尼对9月NPD数据发表的看法：

根据NPD数据，2007年9月美国PS品牌（PS2/PSP/PS3）的销售额比去年9月（PS2/PSP）提高了13%，达到了3.37亿美元。

PS3整体保证增长，9月美国售出11.9万（注：这句话战神没看懂，因为9月销量比8月低。原文是PS3 continues to maintain an overall increase in sales）。

399美元的40G版PS3将于11月2日在美国发售，同时80G版PS3已经降价100美元。降价配合大作，如R&C，战鹰，天剑，Folklore，Uncharted等游戏，预计PS3圣诞期间会有很好的表现。

9月PSP销量很强劲，售出28.5万，这要归功于新版PSP。9月PS2销售也很好，卖出21.5万，依然是销量最好的游戏机之一。

sales - cost of goods sold = gross profit
gross profit - other expenses = net income

恩。。sales这东西怎么减少。。卖不出去也是不增加而已。。。。。。

问题在于，总销量如何变少.........?

如果理解为和上个月比，战神说比上个月卖的少，难道战神在骗人？

自從上回那張具有高度激勵意義的Sony主機直方圖後，SCE 找不到地方宣揚PS家族的偉業
僅好苦思出這種最後套路了。

索尼应该不会在数据上出错，重点是怎么解读数据，也就是怎么比。

FSF拿GC和PS3发售初期美国销量比，PS3输。

索尼拿2007年9月PS家族和2006年9月PS家族比，索尼赢了。

感觉overall increase in sales应该是指总销量增长, 因为有overall cost (总成本, 包含税金之类的)一说. 不过确实结构挺怪的, 不是overall sales increase, 而是overall increase in sales, overall 修饰increase 而不是sales.

说不定这个overall是指ps3在全球不同市场的overall, sales怎么理解没明确指出, 可能是故意不说吧, 因为前面有人说数据显示相较上月是下跌了.

很明显由于overall修饰increase,
sales就不可能指累计销量，这个句子很明确表达这一点
Net profit fell to 170 billion won (US$185 million) in the third quarter to September from a year earlier, the world's second-largest memory chipmaker said, despite an overall increase in sales.

如果sales能指累计销量，还会有despite么

再看这一句
Daimler’s chief Dieter Zetsche foresees no slowdowns in America through the end of the year, while Toyota’s Lexus brand will see an overall increase in sales this year, as will BMW and Audi.

如果指累计销量，还需要用will see么

overall修饰increase, 所以已经不用管了. 这个sales的性质没说清楚, 怎么理解都可以, 懒得看原文了, 说不定有什么关联可以找.但是根据前面的朋友贴的数据, 月销量增长似乎与现实不符, 除非不是与上一月比.

解释下为什么PS3硬件月销量会increase? 难道真的口误？
