挑了篇比较简明的国外游戏网站上的事件报导：

Nintendo Europe has pulled the latest iteration in the Mario Party series from store shelves due to an assembly error which wrote the wrong version of the game to some disks. They refrained from commenting on exactly what the problem is, but reports say that the game contains the word "spastic," a derogatory term for people with mental disabilities.

Mario Party 8, for Wii, is the second game in less than a month to be pulled from shelves for that reason—the first game being Ubisoft's Mind Quiz, for DS and PSP. Nintendo Europe has yet to announce a date for a relaunch.


大意是用错了美版的翻译文本，导致一些翻译在英式英语中传达了不良的信息。考虑到该错误可能对小孩产生不良影响，所以决定回收所有碟。

所以，这个翻译问题对非英式英语使用者影响并不大。

之前amazon买了一只，13号当天就收到了，老任来不及回收了，现在成为了绝版，呵呵。

用到了spastic，这词在北美就是很正常的一词，到了英国就变成辱骂人的了

不是因为负责，是任天堂之前脑训练用了spastic，被英国人告了。
