7.0 Presentation
Very little in the way of options – adjust the audio, set the view to near or far… still, polished in all regards.
8.5 Graphics
It doesn’t have quite the same style and ‘zazz as Geometry Wars, but for what it is Super Stardust HD is gorgeous.
5.5 Sound
Decent enough sound effects, but definitely too much ‘pew pew’-ing. The soundtrack, meanwhile, is just as old school and cheesy as the original, which wouldn’t be so bad if there was more variety.
8.5 Gameplay
Simple but streamlined, the gameplay does almost everything a good Asteroids-style shooter should.
5.0 Lasting Appeal
Co-op is a nice bonus, but the lack of online play limits the game’s long-term prospects.
