IGN UK Ratings for Overlord (X360)

7.0 Presentation
It lacks high-gloss polish and is a bit rough around the edges, particularly the menus. However, the script is genuinely funny.

8.5 Graphics
Each area of the Overlord world is wonderfully vivid and highly detailed, plus there's no slowdown even with lots of minions on screen.

7.5 Sound
Music is forgettable but the voice-acting for minions and NPCs is absolutely spot on, adding to the game's charm.

8.5 Gameplay
Controlling a whirlwind of desctruction is surprisingly enjoyable, but it's let down slightly by tedious backtracking and simple puzzles.

7.5 Lasting Appeal
The multiplayer feels a bit tacked on, although it is fun in short bursts. Meanwhile the single-player lasts around 15 hours, which is decent enough

OVERALL 8.1
