In the Dutch newspaper “De Telegraaf,” Guerrilla Games technical director, Michiel van der Leeuw, stated that all environments will be destructible in Killzone 2 for the PlayStation 3.
He went on to comment that the PlayStation 3 development process has been more enjoyable than the development process for PlayStation 2. Also, programming that was previously impossible on PS2 hardware can now be executed easily on the PlayStation 3.
"We can add many more light and shadow effects, and we are about to reach reality," Van Der Leeuw stated.
Since the E3 debut trailer of Killzone 2, many fans have been hoping this title will push the PS3 hardware to the limits, and show what the PS3 is capable of, as far as graphic power. No doubt, developers will be making full use of the CELL processor, RSX graphics chip, and inclusion of Blu-Ray media within the PlayStation 3.
