Japanese Developers to Embrace Xbox 360
We've seen Capcom, SEGA, and Tecmo jump to support the Xbox 360 (Tecmo never wavered in its support of Microsoft's system), and now we're going to see the traditional Sony backers put their heavy stuff on Xbox 360. With Virtua Fighter 5 coming to Xbox 360, you can practically feel the shift in the wind. We may not know this year whether Metal Gear Solid 4 is ever going to come to Xbox 360 (our prediction will have to wait for 2008), but Konami, Namco, and possibly even Square Enix will all announce big games this year on Xbox 360 -- and the games won't be the B and C titles. They'll be big ones. Square Enix just announced it will use the Unreal engine to explore next-generation games on consoles, and Namco has indicated that it's going to support Xbox 360 in a much bigger way than before. Will Kingdom Hearts 3 hit Xbox 360 using the Unreal Engine? Will Soul Calibur or Katamari Damacy come to Xbox 360? And what about that new Final Fantasy MMORPG? Count on Japanese companies to include Xbox 360 this gen, not exclude it.
MGS4。Despite what Konami says publicly right now, MGS4 will come to Xbox 360 after the PS3 version has been out for a while. With luck, you'll get your friggin' confirmation by the end of '07. 作者: papplez 时间: 2007-1-27 21:16
