The game isn't a side story, but an entry into the main series.
The story takes place directly after the events of Code Veronica and follows onto Resident Evil 4 (GC/PS2) and leading up to the fifth entry (PS3/Xbox 36).
3 main characters, only Jill is confirmed, Wesker is rumored.

This event will be held from the 16th to the 17th of February 2007.
Maybe there's a slight chance to see some Resident Evil 5 / Resident Evil Wii related stuff, allthough nothing is confirmed.
