United are ready to fight fire with fire over Owen Hargreaves. Bayern Munich are threatening to complain to FIFA about United’s bid to sign their midfielder. But United reckon they have plenty of evidence to make a complaint of their own about Bayern’s approaches for Ruud Van Nistelrooy. The Dutch striker eventually joined Real Madrid — but not until after he had been heavily courted by representatives from Munich.
