Samsung Galaxy Note 2 Press Shots

Samsung 在今年 IFA 的展前发表会，为大家带来不少新玩意，而抢先的当然就是众所期待的 Galaxy Note II 了 -- 这部可说是比 Galaxy S 系列更具代表性的最新 Android 装置，配备比上代还要大一点的 5.5 吋屏幕，解像度由当初的 1,280 x 800 改为 1,280 x 720，虽然是小了点，但换来的是比较窄的机身，对整体手感的影响也比较小。处理器方面，由双核心 1.4GHz 升级至四核心 1.6GHz 是明显的（比 Galaxy S III 还快呢），而配合预载的Android 4.1，Samsung 也尽力的要充份利用其标志性的大屏幕和 S Pen。想知到其表现如何，当然要点继续阅读去看主站编辑的感想啦。

Galaxy Note II 的设计概念和 Galaxy S III 一致，都使用了亮面的边框和全覆式机背，当中灰色版本也有之前备受赞赏的横向拉丝纹。屏幕的边框也跟着收窄了，而因应比例的变更，上下空间相对少了，所以实体主页键也比上代扁了一些；厚度也减掉了一点，据现场的人员所说，其厚度为 9.4mm，比上代的 9.7mm 更薄，只要使用者能够接受拿着初代 Galaxy Note 的感觉，那要使用 Galaxy Note II 也是绝对没问题的。说到手感，虽然亮面设计让它注定成为指纹的最爱，但机器拿在手上的感觉是很实在的，造工可以说是很好了。

外围的硬件和配置上，Galaxy Note II 并没有甚么特别的地方，该在的还在，也是安放在熟悉的位置，像机背的相机模块和扬声器，安放的位置就和前代非常相似：相机解像度还是 800 万像素，影片拍摄也可以到 1080p，旁边当然有补光灯，扬声器则接近机底。

和外围相比，被改良过的 S Pen 和配套才是重点：S Pen 虽然是加长至手机长度的约四分三，但形状同时由上代的圆柱状改为较扁的设计，而笔端就加入了胶粒，让书写时的感觉更好；压力感应方面，Galaxy Note II 的 S Pen 由上代的 256 级，提升到和 Galaxy Note 10.1 看齐的 1,024 级，对爱好画画的朋友来说该是喜讯呢。

在 Galaxy Note II 的 S Pen 上，厂方加入了一个不错的功能，就是当我们把笔拔出时，装置可以自动启动用户预先设定好的 app，而预设的就是上图的新增记事画面了。而如果使用者在没有把笔插回去的情况下，用动态传感器侦测到用户移动的话，就会发出提示，要使用者把笔检回来。

只要将 S Pen 和屏幕保持一点距离，我们就可以看到相应的位置上，会有一个像鼠标一样的点，这个就是 Air View 功能的一部份了，也就是将 Galaxy Note 10.1 在 S Note 中相同的功能提取，并在全系统中使用。当然，Air View 不止于此，在图片库中 Air View 可以让使用者预览文件夹中的档案，而看影片时，在时间轴上使用 Air View 就可以看到相应时间的影片预览了 -- 多得硬件的升级，我们在动手玩时，这些功能都运行得颇为流畅呢。

功能上有提升的地方还有代表性的 S Note，这功能在得到 Pop-up Note 这个新名字后，和 Pop-up Play 一样可以用 floating app 的方式操作了，而且还可以随意重设大小呢（Pop-up Play 也可以了）。但要说最有趣的功能，应该就是行事历和电邮可以直接用手写来说入了 -- 举个例说，只要写一篇以 @ 号开始的笔记，装置就可以直接辨认，并传送至电邮软件。用 S Pen 抓图的方案也升级了，可以直接划出要抓的范围，以不用到抓好后再裁剪，更甚者，Galaxy Note II 更能将画面操作用影片的方式录下来呢！

在动手玩过 Galaxy Note II 后，唯一的遗憾应该就是厂方没有给出明确的推出时程和售价，只提到其会在年底前推出，并会一直针对 S Pen 加入更多专用的功能。要说玩后感的话，除了可以预料的效能提升外，比较特别的就是新加入的功能并没有很硬来的感觉，整合方面也做得颇为出色，也少了一点严肃的味道，娱乐性变得比较高了。不论如何，不论是主站还是我们中文版这边，只要拿得到机器，是一定会为大家做一个详细评测的。

After dominating IFA 2011 with its Galaxy Note introduction, Samsung is hoping to repeat the feat today with the Galaxy Note II. Now thinner and lighter, the new Note device comes with a redesigned S Pen stylus, a bevy of new software features layered atop Android 4.1, and an enlarged 5.5-inch display. Oh, and it now runs on a 1.6GHz quad-core Exynos processor.



















The display resolution is the same as very similar to the original Note, 1280 x 720 versus 1280 x 800 on the older model, and the technology employed is still Super AMOLED, though the Pentile subpixel arrangement has been tweaked a little. It's still not a perfect stripe of RGB pixels as you might get on LG's IPS displays or the laudable HTC One X, but it's somewhere closer to it than the standard Pentile. An improvement, in any case.


The physical design and materials, however, are a direct match to Samsung's Galaxy S III, which launched earlier this year. The Note II even uses the same 8-megapixel camera. The software interface looks identical to the GS III's, but for the S Pen-specific "Magic Wand" sub-homescreen and a selection of other stylus enhancements. NFC, a choice of two colors (Mountain White and Titanium Gray), and three storage options (16GB, 32GB, or 64GB) are other similarities to Samsung's flagship smartphone. 2GB of RAM will come standard on the Galaxy Note II.
THE PHYSICAL DESIGN AND MATERIALS ARE A DIRECT MATCH TO SAMSUNG'S GALAXY S III
Unique to the new Galaxy Note is the battery, which does battle with Motorola's Droid RAZR Maxx for mightiest in the smartphone category by weighing in at 3100mAh. Then again, it's debatable that a 5.5-inch device can reasonably be considered a smartphone.
New software features include Air View, which allows you to hover your S Pen approximately 10mm above the surface of the screen and have the phone recognize and react to that by launching little previews of onscreen items (such as pictures inside an album, they're enlarged atop the album view rather than taking you to a new window). Screen Recorder sounds like a more useful addition, doing what its name suggests and recording your on-screen actions for posterity and sharing. The Pop-up Play feature of playing local video in a little window overlay, first seen on the Galaxy S III, has seen an upgrade: the video window can now be resized. On the camera side of things, Best Faces lets you create a composite image from multiple pictures, splicing the best-captured images of different people's faces in the frame, while the Photo Note feature can create handwritten notes on the back of pictures. For that extra touch of classy.
Samsung tells us an LTE version of the Galaxy Note II is a safe bet, but refuses to divulge any details on when, where, and which carrier this new device will launch with. All we know is it's set for a debut in the fourth quarter of this year.

三星GALAXY Note 2猜想——发布时间
    首先我们自然要先提一下三星GALAXY Note 2的发布时间。根据之前网上的消息，具体的时间是在德国柏林8月29日晚上19点，也就是北京时间8月30日凌晨1点开始。这个信息来自网上流传的一张三星发布会邀请函，可信度还是较高的。

    这张邀请函上可以看到三星为旗下大屏幕设备配备的SPen，在盒子上也可以看到三星手机字样，这就不免让人联想到GALAXY Note 2了。
    虽然邀请函已经公布了发布日期，但是在之前与苹果的专利诉讼当中，以三星的败诉告终，三星被判侵权，这就使得三星的新品发布出现了变数，如果三星GALAXY Note 2上的设计也有侵权的话，那么手机是不能按时发布的。

    三星发言人表示，败诉对于三星确实存在了一定的影响，但是对于新品发布的时间影响还是比较小的，对三星影响较大的就是设计问题，由于专利问题，他们不得不对产品设计进行改变。
三星Galaxy Note 2猜想——机身设计

    了解完发布日期之后我们就来看一下手机的外形设计，日前一张疑似三星Galaxy Note 2真机谍照的图片在网上曝光， 从这张照片上看到手机的边框非常窄，这样手机在拥有超大屏幕的同时可以使得机身尽可能的窄一些，手机的Home键采用了更扁的设计，屏幕下方预留的区域也非常窄，这样的设计或许会对手机的操作产生不便。

    从这张曝光的照片上来看，照片中的机型还是颇有三星GALAXY Note 2的感觉的，机身外形设计实际上与GALAXY Note相差不大，只是将边框变得更加窄了一些。

    据悉新Galaxy Note屏幕尺寸确定为5.5英寸，采用Super AMOLED屏幕，机身设计采用与Galaxy S III相同的风格，并且尽管屏幕增大0.2英寸，机身宽度却保持与上一代Galaxy Note相同。

    在疑似真机曝光的同时段，一张三星GALAXY Note 2黑色版的前面板照片也出现在网络当中，从照片上来看，黑色的面板与真机的照片上的细节是相吻合的。
三星Galaxy Note 2猜想——参数配置

    至于三星Galaxy Note 2的配置，外接的传言也颇多，据传Galaxy Note 2将配备800万像素摄像头，2GB运行内存，全新Exynos 5250处理器——该款处理器是双核ARM-15处理器，现在并未问世。

    不过从韩国本土媒体报道的消息上看，三星GALAXY Note 2的处理器规格并没有达到那样高的水准，采用的仍然是Exynos 4412四核1.4GHz处理器，与之前的三星GALAXY SIII保持一致。

    系统方面，从参数表中可以看到GALAXY Note 2将会采用Android4.1.1操作系统。拥有16GB以及32GB两种版本。手机将会支持4G LTE网络。
    作为一款旗舰机型，三星GALAXY Note 2直接采用Android4.1操作系统也是可以理解的，毕竟目前的GALAXY SIII已经开始计划升级到Android4.1，选择让GALAXY Note 2直接内置Android4.1系统更加有利于手机的竞争。
三星Galaxy Note 2猜想——系统功能

    系统功能方面，三星Galaxy Note 2应该会集成一部分GALAXY SIII的功能。我们先来回顾下三星GALAXY SIII的六大主要功能。

    回顾完GALAXY SIII的功能我们就可以看到，这些功能对于用户使用来说是比较有用的，作为拥有更大屏幕的GALAX Note 2来说，实现这些功能是完全没有问题的。我们也有理由相信三星会将这些功能沿用到Note 2上。

    首先在程序管理方面，不但拥有Android系统自带的滑动关闭后台程序的功能，而且还内置三星自己的管理系统，可以更加直观的看到系统正在运行的程序，想要关闭只要轻轻一点。这种程序管理界面需要大屏幕的支持，只有大屏幕才会有好的体验，三星GALAXY Note 2的5.5英寸屏幕应该是没有问题的。

    另外GALAXY Note 10.1上的双屏浏览，也是极有可能出现在GALAXY Note 2当中，所谓双屏浏览就是我们可以在屏幕上同时操作两个不同软件。比如说我们可以在屏幕左边制作贺卡、在屏幕右边观看视频，或者同时首发电子邮件、查看图片、浏览网页以及编辑文档等操作，可以大大提高我们的效率，同时呈现给我们更多的精彩。

那图真像拉宽的SIII

今天，三星在德国柏林发布了多款产品，包括了之前备受瞩目的 Galaxy Note 2，相机 EK-GC100 Galaxy Camera，Window 8 平板电脑 Ativ Tab、Ativ SmartPC、Ativ SmartPC Pro，以及 Windows Phone 8 手机 Ativ S。
“今天，每个人都可以极具创造力。享受这个美好的晚上吧。” 这句话似乎在暗示，接下来这一场发布会，并没有我们想象的那么简单。
意料之中的 Galaxy Note 2

在正式发布 Galaxy Note 2 之前，三星反复提到一个词：Creative。JK Shin 说 Galaxy Note 开辟了一个新市场，“今晚，你们将看到 Galaxy Note 有更多的创新”。
他还说，你不一定要是毕加索或是爱因斯坦才能做出酷的东西，只要你有 Galaxy Note。它会帮你抓住灵感，随时随地。
之后 Galaxy Note 2 正式揭开面纱，配置已经全面升级：

• 5.5 英寸 HD Super AMOLED 屏幕，分辨率 1280*720，其像素排列方式介于 Pentile 和 RGB 之间
• 1.6 GHz 四核 Exynos 处理器
• 2GB RAM
• 3,100 mAH 电池
• 800 万像素摄像头，190 万前置摄像头
• 厚度 9.4 毫米，重量 180 克
• 根据内置空间分为三个版本 16/32/64 GB
• 支持 microSD 卡槽
• 支持 NFC
• 运行 Android 4.1 Jelly Bean 系统

值得一提的是，尽管屏幕尺寸增大了，但 Galaxy Note 2 并没有因此而“更难掌控”。这要归功于其超窄边框的设计，另外，Galaxy Note 2 相比之前更长，也更薄、更轻。
Galaxy Note 2 的手写笔 S Pen 也经过了重新设计。据悉，新的 S Pen 支持 1024 个层级的压力敏感度。而且，Galaxy Note 2 也增加了新的软件功能。
其中一个叫 AirView。如果你将 S Pen 悬浮在 Galaxy Note 2 的屏幕上约 1 厘米处，屏幕能够智能识别，然后你可以“预览”屏幕上的某些东西。按照 The Verge 的说法，用这个功能你可以预览相册里的照片。不过，这听起来似乎很酷，但好像也仅仅停留在“听起来很酷”上。
Galaxy Note 2 还提供了屏幕录制（Screen Recorder）功能，顾名思义，它可以录制屏幕上的画面。另外一个功能“画中画”我们已经在 Galaxy S3 上见识过，不过 Galaxy Note 2 上做了小幅改进——你现在可以调整悬浮视频的大小了。
三星的 Jean-Daniel Ayme 自信满满地说 Galaxy Note 2 是目前市面上最强大的智能手机。

当跑分专家们将它拿在手上，相信我，你只会听到“积极的评价”。

另外，S Pen 的 SDK 2.2 版本也已经发布。

对了，三星还提到，Jelly Bean 的升级将很快来到 Galaxy Note 10.1 以及 Galaxy S3。

三星的 Android 相机——Galaxy Camera正当所有人以为这只是一场 Galaxy Note 2 的发布会时，三星也玩了个“One more thing”。JK Shin 再次回到台上，“很高兴再次看到你们。你们已经开始想我了吗？我再次回来，是因为我们还有更多的东西要跟你们说。“
首先是 Galaxy Camera。

Nokia 808 发布的时候，我们曾戏言它是“能打电话的相机”。三星 Galaxy Camera 不能打电话，但它运行的是 Android 系统。“女士们先生们，相机重生了。”

Engadget 经过简单的上手，发现还只是早期的原型机，使用过程中还遇到了点小问题。由于运行的是 Android 系统，又支持 3G/WiFi，因此它可以很轻易解决之前“无法从相机直接分享”的难题。Best Group Pose 功能可以让你在一组照片选出最好的一张，WiFi Direct 则可以让你直接将照片传输到智能手机上。
至于照片的质量，不要期望过高。不过，至少它的成像质量会好于市面上绝大部分智能手机，这一点无需怀疑。

三星的 Windows 产品线——Ativ 家族智能相机有了，够了吗？还不够。三星还带来了它的 Windows 产品线——Ativ 家族。

三星又抢了个早，发布了全球首款运行 Windows Phone 8 系统的智能手机。具体参数如下：

发布会的最后，三星还发布了 Series 9 笔记本，并称之为”全球最薄最快的笔记本电脑“。

总结不得不说，此次三星发布会与以往不太相同。这一次，三星多了几分从容和霸气。

我们是市场上唯一有能力制造生态系统内所有产品的公司。

虽然这句话原本是在说 Windows 8，不过我想，三星说的并不只是 Windows 8？

Samsung's got a handful of announcements to offer its mobile fans at IFA this year, and it's started big: with the Galaxy Note II. The new Android device packs a larger 5.5-inch, 1,280 x 720 16:9 screen, but still falls roughly within the same generous footprint of its predecessor. A year on, we've now got a more powerful SoC, up from a dual-core 1.4GHz processor to a new quad-core 1.6GHz Exynos chipset (yes, that's even faster than the one found in the Galaxy S III) and Android Jelly Bean right out of the box. Samsung's putting a lot of focus on making the most of all that screen space and S Pen functionality. We got our hands (both of them) on the Galaxy Note II just a few hours early, so after the gallery, skip past the break for our first impressions.

The Galaxy Note II speaks the same design language as the Galaxy S III, with a glossy shimmering plastic finish that envelopes the back of the device, plus the same slim bezel. The button space below the screen has been slimmed down, as has the thickness of the device: 9.4mm instead of 9.7mm on the old Note. If you were able to hold the original Galaxy Note, there shouldn't be any problems here either. In the hand, the device feels just as solid as you'd expect considering its heritage -- it's impeccably well-built.

Physically, there aren't many changes to to talk about here -- ports and buttons are where you'd expect to find them, which is mostly a good thing, and the camera looks to be very similar to the 8-megapixel module we're familiar with -- with an LED flash and 1080p video skills.
Instead, the big news is the new S Pen and the fresh software that goes with it. The stylus itself has been fattened out and lengthened to three-quarters of the device's length, making it easier to write with, and its end is now rubberized to give it more pen-like friction on the glass screen. Pressure sensitivity is the same as on the new Galaxy Note 10.1, which means you get a full, art-friendly 1,024 levels of sensitivity instead of the old Note's mere 256.

A great addition is the ability to recognize when the S Pen is removed from the device, which can trigger the app of your preference or the default note creation screen shown above. Equally, if you leave the stylus on a desk somewhere and try to walk off, the phone -- courtesy of its accelerometer -- alerts you to the fact that it's being moved without its buddy.
The Note II has also been given "Air View" -- or the ability to detect the hover position of the S Pen, which opens up a whole world of new UI additions. These include a quick preview function, which can show the contents of a folder when you hover over it and before you actually tap into it. There's also a video preview feature which allows you to scroll through a video timeline to the section you want before tapping to go there. It all looked really fluid.

Further productivity boosts include the ability to run S-Note -- now called Pop-up Note -- on top of other apps, as a resizeable window. Pop-up video works the same -- it can now be resized and run over other apps, just like on the GS III. Interestingly, the email and calendar apps have been tweaked to recognize handwritten input -- for example, start a note with the @ character and it'll automatically put your completed text into an email ready to be sent. You can easily capture screen grabs using the stylus to mark out the grab area, and you can even record video of your onscreen activity.

Samsung is giving nothing away in terms of pricing or availability, beyond saying the Note II will be available in Europe, Asia and the Middle East by October, and the US by the end of the year. It also tells us that it plans to add plenty more dedicated S Pen software (echoing the Premium Suite) in the future. As we burrowed into the Galaxy Note II's new features, it all felt simpler and more cohesive than the original -- less business and more pleasure. Big phone fans will just have to wait until we can put the new Note through a full test later this year, but so far so good.
