One of the developersbehind the latest iteration of Need for Speed, NFS Shift, commented on the Gran Turismo 5 damage engine shown off at GamesCom last month. Obviously, his words weren’t exactly glowing, but you’ll find he provides interestinginsight into the creative restrictions placed on racing game developers:

“We do as much as the manufacturers allow us to do, which is anything up to the point of encroaching the driver’s safety zone, which means we can’t tear the doors off.

“Actually, when the footage of Gran Turismo5came out of GamesCom with the doorsflying off, we were all like ‘what the ****’? How are they able to do that?’ But then we looked closer and saw that they had fitted a roll cage to the car, which is fine, but it’s not quite so realistic. But to answer your question, yeah, hoods, bumpers and all that can come flying off in Shift.”


SHIT 小组的原话是：我们的NFS车损系统是按照厂商容许我们最大的范围做的，但是没有容许我们把门撞掉。

而当看到gamecom上的GT5门被撞飞的视频时，我们感觉“what the fcuk”，他们是怎么做到的？（他们为什么被授权这样做）？当我们仔细观察的时候发现，他们在车里装了 roll cage，这个方法倒是不错，不过roll cage在现实比赛中很少见

I’m not sure if i’m missing anything butis the shift developer saying that having a rollcage in a racing car is not realistic even though its in FIA regs?
难道说在FIA的标准里滚柱罩是不容许的？（FIA:世界赛车联盟）

Yes a roll cage in a wrc car is very odd…
在WRC里滚柱罩是比较少见的

All race car have rollcage(rally car,NASCAR,WTCC,DTM,SuperGT,FIA GT) only Formula and LM prototype not have rollcage!!!!

所有的赛车都有滚柱罩，等等等等。。。。。。。。，只有一级方程式和勒芒原型车是没有的。。。。

关于车损系统:
在GAMESCOM展出的车损系统,让玩家门看到了许多在车身上的损坏效果
但是这只是他们迈出的第一步,并不是最终的车损效果.
山内想要知道玩家们希望将车损系统之做到什么程度.

这真的是nfs开发人员的原话？？？匪夷所思啊。。。。凡是正式的下场赛，没防滚架，没4点式座椅，可能准你下场么？我是不信nfs那边对个防滚架都如此诧异了。。

原文的关键是

“We do as much as the manufacturers allow us to do, which is anything up to the point of encroaching the driver’s safety zone, which means we can’t tear the doors off.”

我们在汽车制造商允许的范围内最大化的做出了车损的效果，但是车厂不允许游戏内的车辆成员空间有任何的变形，也就是说我们不能卸掉车门（成员空间不变形意味着驾驶舱不能缩短，不能压扁，不能挤瘪）。

结果在看 GT 的时候，NFS 组发现车门居然撞开了（在安全标准中，车门打开是对成员空间的严重侵害） …… 于是他们相当差异。为啥我们不能，他们可以捏？ 结果仔细看的时候，发现 GT 给车里装了防滚架。

其实我个人认为 NFS 还是曲解了 GT 的车损系统。有这么几个原因

1. 防滚架的强度问题FIA有详细的规范和要求（简单防滚架要求A柱挡风玻璃顶部，也就是车手头部上方的位置，要可以承受3.5倍的“车重加150kg”。完整防滚架要达到7.5倍不变形）因此极品飞车说的是部分有道理的，就是“防滚架在真实的情况下依然可能变形，所以 GT 也不是完全真实”问题是，这个话题本身就显得很没营养。反正大家都不能动成员空间，人家打开门，你就说人家车顶压不扁就是不真实 …… 挺逞强的

2. GT的车损系统授权未必取决于车厂。譬如说，Subaru的 WRC赛车实际上是由 ProDrive 制造的。这个英国的工厂完全重新设计了 Impreza 的很多细节，而且和 STi 也有本质不同。所以车损中出现的 Impreza WRCar，它的各种界定标准和现实中的 Subaru Impreza 可能完全不一样。譬如说它可能所谓的成员空间就是指防滚架内部结构空间，其他的都是外皮 …… 那允许破损就很正常了

3. Shift 大量使用的是真实中民用车并包含车损，GT 中大部分的民用车我们都看到似乎并无车损系统。只有赛车有 …… 上面一点说到过，赛车的规格标准和民用车区别应该是蛮大的，所以完全没法直接对比。

最后，这个言论主要是针对一般玩家的答疑 …… 估计 NFS 就算自己弄得清楚，说出来小白玩家也不懂，多说了还不如少扯两句，剩下的大家自己脑补去算了。

凡事最怕认真2字~

我认为今回nfs的确有可以圈点的地方，
看过一个开发人员对系统的描述，蛮有新鲜感~
而且首次看到了车身互相映射的效果，场景的质感也较充实~
动态模糊的效果很好很夸张~
没看过正式的游玩视频，但目测是30fps，按道理是比fmgt多一倍的资源去做画面了~

不过看来这只是披着真实系的外衣，其实还是以爽快做诉求~
