President of Nintendo Satoru Iwata  took to the stage at Nintendo's financial results meeting today to talk the future of the Wii U in the wake of its troubling sales forecast.

According to The Wall Street Journal's live blog of the event, President Iwata blames the gamepad on the Wii U's low sales, acknowledging that many people think the pad is just an accessory for the Wii. A price cut at this stage is not an option, he added.
